A Special Thank You to YOU!
Today, I celebrate 3 months and 9 days since the launch date of my very first blog post! I dedicate this post to you who have been supporting this new blogging website. I want you each to know that I honestly am thankful for you, I really am! Thank you for following me in this vision and dream that God has provided me with.Thank you for sharing this blog with your friends and family. I never take a like, share, or comment for granted because it encourages others to join me in this journey--the journey of loving the skin that you're in and finding your confidence in Christ. I want you all to know that I am praying for you and for you to grow into the confident woman that you were created you to be!
Below is a prayer for you: ❤
"I pray God's protection and covering over you.
I pray that you will find your identity in Christ.
I pray that you will begin to understand your worth and value.
I pray that you will begin to trade your insecurities for confidence in God.
I pray that your confidence will come from the love and true acceptance that God freely gives.
I ask the Lord to watch over each of you and that you will choose to love everything about yourselves.
I ask that the Lord will guide you and direct your paths so that you can be the women that He has called you to be!"
One of the scriptures that always encourages me to be confident no matter what situations may arise is found in Philippians. It reads: "Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ." - Philippians 1:6. This scripture is very encouraging because it reminds us that God is not finished writing our stories. Sis, I want to encourage you and let you know that God has a good future planned for you--His work in your life is not finished. You are not forgotten about, dear ones.
I can recall thinking about all that God had placed on my heart to do. I would often ask myself: "What's stopping you from walking out the vision that God has given you?" I began thinking about the excuses of me being in school and working full time, I simply thought I didn't have the time to do it all. But that was the thing, God wasn't asking me to do it all at once. And He definitely wasn't asking that I do it all on my own. I've learned that as long as I take one step forward, I will be given more on my way.
At the beginning of this year, I made up my mind to say, "yes" and to start walking this vision out. I experienced an inner peace about encouraging women to love themselves---this peace came with a gentle nudge. I began thinking about my past and how God would use it to show women in this world that they are not alone. The interesting thing about creating this blog is that the more steps I took towards accomplishing this goal, the more I began to have a heart for it. I thought about the positive impact that I would make just by submitting to the plan of God and saying: "Yes Lord, I will do what you have called me to do."
Believe it or not, God has a plan and purpose for you too. Truth is, it doesn't matter where you are in your walk of life. Whether you know God or not, you are called to be a world changer! The very mere fact that you are on this Earth confirms that you were created for something specific. Don't talk yourself out of using the natural gifts and abilities that God has given you. Instead I encourage you to say, "yes."
I believe our minds can become so busy with the things around us that we can miss what God wants to do through us. I personally made it a priority to spend time with God through prayer and studying His word. It allows me to focus my attention solely on Him. One of the many things that I realized is that someone that I may not even know could be relying on the word of encouragement that God has given me for them. I, personally, don't want to get in the way of God's plans. So instead I say, "yes!" Yes to His plans and yes to making a difference in the world around me. Will you join me? ❤
Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
